The Wolf’s Den is our cozy one bedroom summer cottage. It looks out over the lake with a great unobstructed view from its deck. This cottage has its own firepit. This bathroom has a full sized bathtub and a Queen bed.

Friday and Saturday Nights: $125 each

Weeknights: $100 each

Weekly: $680 week

These rates include a maximum of 2 guests. One extra person is allowed in this cottage at a cost of $75  night.

Take the 401 East to the HWY 35/115 exit.
From Toronto, Take 115 towards Peterborough. Watch for the signs and exit on HWY 35N to Lindsay.
At Lindsay turn left onto HWY 7 and then turn right to continue following HWY 35 north.
A little ways north of Lindsay turn right onto HWY 121 towards Fenelon Falls
Follow 121 north through Fenlon Falls all the way to Kinmount.
Turn right at Kinmount onto 503 East. 503 will take you to Gooderham.
At Gooderham, turn right onto HWY 507 which is also called Buckhorn Road.
A few minutes out of town you will turn left onto Tamarack Lake Road.
Follow Tamarack Lake Road to your first right – Peddleboat Bay Ln.
At the top of the hill, Peddleboat Lane continues to the left, English Circle goes to the right, and our driveway is in the middle. Follow the signs to Sweet Comfort.

Our ginger molasses cookies (pictured above!) are one of our most popular items! Made with love from an old family recipe, they stand the test of time.  Shanthi Bascombe has a passion for baking and it shows in the quality of her products and the loyalty of her customers. The bakery has retail hours daily in the summer and on Saturdays in the spring and fall. Custom orders are always welcome. Please see the menu page for up to date product lisitings. And yes! We can ship cookies or squares if you can’t wait until summer!

The Highland is our summer two bedroom cottage. Up high on a hill, it has a firepit and picnic table just outside the door. The lake sparkles throught the trees and the deck is sunny and large. This is a great spot for kids to play safely just outside your door and the terrain is flat and easily manageable. This cottage has one queen bed and one set of bunks which consist of a double on the bottom and a single bed up top. Bathroom includes a small bathtub.

Friday and Saturday Nights: $150 each

Weeknights: $125

Weekly: $800/week

These rates include a maximum of 5 guests. Up to two extra people are allowed in this cottage at a cost of $75 per person per night.

The Pine Grove is our newly renovated two bedroom cottage available year round.  Nestled amond the pine trees, this cottage has beautiful french doors which open out onto the deck. A firepit and picnic table are onsite. The cottage has one queen bed and one set of bunks which consist of a double on the bottom and a single on the top.

Friday and Saturday Nights: $150 each

Weeknights: $125 each

Weekly: $800/wk

These rates include up to five guests. No extra guests are allowed in this cottage.

Our three bedroom cottage is available year round. It has two queen beds and one set of single bunks. This cottage sits right at the beach and has a bright sunny kitchen. The bathroom consists of a stand up shower, toilet and sink. The firepit for this cottage is on the main waterfront area.

Friday and Saturday nights: $185 each

Weeknights: $150 each

Weekly Rental: $1050/wk

These rates include a maximum of 6 guests. Up to two extra people are allowed in this cottage at a cost of $75 per person per night.

All of our cottages have fully equipped kitchens with fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, BBQ and coffee maker. They’re also equipped with a television and VCR.  Please note all of our cottages are non-smoking.

All Rates are subject to 5%PST and 5% GST.

There is a flat fee of $20 per pet per visit.

Electric fishing boats are available to rent for $40/day or $175/week.

Firewood can be purchased onsite or nearby.

At Sweet Comfort Cottage we recognize that you may have a well-loved animal who is part of your family. You are welcome to bring your pet with you, adhering to the following policies.

There is a flat rate of $20 per pet per visit.

Maximum number of pets per cottage is two.

If a dog barks continuously, and after one warning has not stopped, you and your pet will be asked to leave, refund of your fee will be at the discretion of Pringle’s Cove.

If the cottage was found to be infested with fleas after your departure, you will be charged for fumigation.

Poop and scoop rules apply on all property including roads on Tamarack Lake.

No pets of your visitors will be allowed.

Dogs are not to run at large.

Dogs are allowed off leash only if well behaved and owner is immediately present.

Do not leave your dog alone in cottage when you leave the property.

You will be held liable for any damage to property, furniture or watercraft caused by your pet.

Dogs are not allowed on the main swimming beach but are welcome to use the second beach we have available.

Sweet Comfort is a family resort located on motorless Tamarack lake. We are proud of our 4 private cottages, all complete with fully equipped kitchens, 3 piece baths, TV and VCR. Relax and barbecue your supper on your deck (Barbecue provided), then watch the sun set for yet another great day. All you need is bedding, towels & toiletries; everything else is here for you.

Sweet Comfort is located among the towering Haliburton hardwoods and nestled in rock outcroppings. This beautiful setting will allow you to hear yourself while providing fun for the whole family. We are the only resort on the lake and are situated on a semi-private cove with a spectacular view of the water and trees. Our lake is very safe as it is not connected to any other and is spring fed. It is also motorless which means the kids can enjoy an afternoon of fun on the water without the bother of high speed traffic goingby. Our sandy beach provides hours of enjoyment for the little ones and our floating dock in the middle of the cove makes for great swimming. Firepits and picnic tables allow you to enjoy the beautiful star lit evenings.

Our facilities include:  Sandy beach, canoes, paddle-boats, horseshoe pits, fishing, hiking, golf nearby, firewood and a movie lending library. Sweet Comfort has access to ATV trails at our doorstep.  A short 5 minute drive will take you into the town of Gooderham which has groceries, gas, liquor, beer, restaurants and telephones while the town of Haliburton which is only 20min away, you can enjoy a variety of shops, galleries and restaurants to suit every appetite.

Electric Fishing Boats are now available to rent for fishing on our own lake. Fish for small mouth bass, perch and other pan fish. Worms are available for purchase nearby.

We have an onsite bakery which operates seasonally, producing fresh bread and fantastic pies daily.
